1st day training

Gathering of all the participants

Short introduction on etiology and practical training for the traditional diagnosis

  • General etiology of body/mind, cause and conditions and classification of the diseases
  • Concept and practice of Tibetan medical diagnosis
  • Concept of treatment in Tibetan medicine

Traditional Tibetan Pulse reading: preliminary study and training

  • Short introduction to the theory and practice of the pulse reading
  • Training the pulse reader self
  • Preliminary information for the patient
  • Training the technique of pulse reading (explanation, practical demonstration and training in pulse reading)
    • Importance of the time of pulse reading
    • Location of the pulse reading
    • Pressure of the pulse reading
    • Organs and pulse reading
    • Three natural pulses
    • Introduction of the seasonal pulse reading
    • Healthy and unhealthy pulses
    • The two principal pathology pulses: fever and cold diseases
    • General and specific pathology pulses

 

2nd day training

Pulse reading: theory and practice

Traditional Tibetan visual diagnosis study and training

  • General tongue diagnosis

4th day training

Traditional Tibetan medicine diagnosis: Anamneses study and analyzing the cause and condition and symptoms:

1.  Wind disorder (rlung-gi-ned)

2. Bile disorder  (Tripai-ned)

  • Cause and conditions

3. Phlegm disorder (Badken-gyi-ned)

4.  Other combined (dhenpai-ned) and fever and infection diseases (Tsawai-ned)

5th day training

Short lecture on therapeutic techniques and treatment

3rd day training
External therapy techniques: learning and training

  • Tibetan Massage therapy, learning and practice



4th day training
Body mind medicine: Cleaning and purifying the three mental poisons, three humors, and related disease by following yogic techniques: learning and training

  • Respiration, visualization and relaxation, learning and practice
  • Meditation and relaxation, learning and practice
  • Visualization and Medicine Buddha healing mantras, learning and practice



5th day training

  • Learning few Tibetan tantric healing yoga and yoga therapy disciplines, learning and practice
  • Revising the diagnosis and method of treatments
  • Question and answers



6th day examination
Final examination
