TibetanMedicine-Edu is very pleased to support the Khahudragzong Project
initiated by the Buddha Bedurya Center (Milan-Italy).
Khahudragzong Project
Rtsa-rlung-‘Khrul-‘khor Monastery
The Khahudragzong retreat monastery is located in the Sakya region, upper part of Tibet, at an altitude of around 4200m. In the past, there were a hundred caves in this holly area, but time and natural calamities swept them away. Badly damaged, the monastery remained empty and without renovation for many years. A decade ago, some monks went there to meditate and began to re-establish this retreat monastery. Now, it welcomes monks again who generally come to this center after their graduation in Buddhist philosophy study from the Sakya main city monastery. The retreat monastery, principally dedicated to teaching and practice in meditation, spiritual yoga and tantric practices, provides further study through a six-year course. There is indeed a young generation of devoted monks with a keen interest in learning and practicing. For the success of their peaceful spiritual practice, and to welcome the numerous young monks and nuns who are looking for a sanctuary to study and meditate in this remote area, the Buddha Bedurya center has set up in 2007 the Khahudragzong project to rebuilt yogi caves, renovate the Khahudragzong monastery, and built the Rtsa-rlung-‘khul-‘khor Monastery.

Dear Dharma brothers, sisters and generous donors!
It is with the greatest pleasure that we have received good news from Sakya Monastery of Tibet: The Chinese authority of Tibet autonomous Region (TAR) has now granted the permission, which was pending until now, to construct the Tibetan Buddhist Tantric yoga Rtsa-rlung-‘khrul-‘khor Monastery and yogi caves at the site of the ancient Khahudragzong yogi cave Monastery.
The construction solely depends on the support of the Buddha Bedurya Buddhist Meditation center (Milan – Italy), Dr Pasang Y. Arya's family, TibetanMedicine-Edu, and few other donors.
Emergency help is needed
The current urgent program is to build the Tibetan Buddhist Tantric yogic Rtsa-rlung-‘khrul-‘khor Monastery in order to welcome the yogic and meditative practice of 200 practitioners.
Enlarged project, the Rtsa-rlung- ‘Khrul-‘khor Monastery
The project has already started and the size of the new monastery, which was originally based on a 12 pillars plan has been extended to 18 pillars (around 300 square meter) to enlarge its capacity and allow 200 practitioners to be seated, and practice. The monastery will comprise glass windows, and a wooden floor with cushions for yogic meditation and yogic jumping exercises. The project also comprises nine new yogi houses.
Education Project
The project is purely dedicated to the education of monks and nuns and especially to the devoted young generations. Fortunately, some enlightened masters are still alive and able to pass on the Lam’bras tradition of practice and Rtsa-rlung-‘khrul-‘khor, the thousand-year-old magic Buddhist spiritual yoga practice, to the younger. The monastery will be the main center for this Buddhist spiritual yoga practice, which is still very much unknown in the world and even inside Tibet. This tradition has been kept strictly secret and is practiced according to the Lam’bras tradition.

Wall painting and illustration
To preserve this secret tradition, we would like to also paint the thousand year old tantric spiritual yoga practice on the walls of the yogi Monastery. These paintings will also illustrate a yoga book for the monastery only.

Food for nuns
About a kilometer down from the yogi cave Monastery, there is a small riverside monastery where around 30 nuns live and practice meditation. Unfortunately, many of these nuns have no choice but to leave the monastery and interrupt their practice because of the lack of food and daily necessities.
The Buddha Bedurya meditation center would like to also help these nuns study, by providing food and shelter.
